About the Evergreen brand
Evergreen is owned by the Chinese company Sailun Group Co., Ltd. The brand was created in the late 2000s.
Evergreen tyres are an entry-level tyres. They are distributed in more than 100 countries worldwide and are primarily designed to fit cars, SUV, 4x4 and commercial van vehicles, as well as trucks and buses.
The brand's slogan is "Drive to the future", which underlines the importance of innovation for Evergreen.
It is important to note, however, that information about the brand is relatively limited and there is no Evergreen Wikipedia page.
About Sailun Group Co., Ltd
Historically, the Evergreen brand has been owned by the Chinese Jinuy Tire Group Co. Ltd (founded in 1995 as Guang Tong Rubber & Plastic Factory).
The company started producing tyres in 2003, in collaboration with Apollo Tyres and Kumho Tyres.
Initially specialising in truck tyres, it distributes the following brands in particular Jinyu Tires and Blacklion. According to this brand, the first passenger tyres were produced in 2009.
In 2012, Sailun Company Ltd (known for its Sailun tyres
) acquires 49% of Jinuy. The companies merge to form the Sailun-Jinuy Group. In 2018, the name Jinuy is dropped and the company is renamed Sailun Group Co., Ltd.
The Sailun Group is one of the 20 largest tyre manufacturers in the world. It employs around 14,000 people. The group's factories, located in China (Qingdao, Dongying, Shenyang) and Vietnam, produce more than 100 million tyres per year (about 90 million truck tyres and 30 million car tyres).
